Homecoming

Homecoming kicks off with a parade down Main Street starting at 6:00 Friday Night. The bonfire will be lit at Remich Park at 7:30. Starting early at 9:00 the boys and girls middle school soccer teams will be playing profile, boys at Remich and girls at Apthorp. Varsity Field Hockey will play Franklin at Remich at 11:00. The Varsity soccer teams will also be playing Profile at Remich Park, with the girls at 12:45 and boys at 2:30. The JV Soccer teams will be playing Profile in 4:00 games, girls at Norton Field and Boys at Remich.

Littleton Baseball had a few games going into April vacation, one on April 20 against Groveton, and another one Monday April 23 against Pittsburgh. The Crusaders had no games for the rest of the week and would only practice through the week. The Crusaders played very well in both games where they beat Groveton 18-0 and Pittsburgh 22-5.

The Littleton High School Girls softball had their Groveton game moved from Friday April 20, to the following Friday April 27. In between this week of waiting they played against Pittsburgh High School on Monday April 23. The Littleton girls played well and scored a lot of runs to support their pitching. They came out with their second win of the year beating Pittsburgh 8-5. Finally, in came the end of the week with the rescheduled Groveton game, the Littleton Girls had a lot of time to prepare. Groveton is an equally matched opponent for this Littleton team, and the game was close. Groveton ended up beating Littleton with a final score of 7-6.

After almost a week without a game the Littleton Boys Baseball team played against White Mountains Regional Tuesday, May 1. Littleton was going to be tested for the first time this year against a good opponent. The game was close, it was back and forth between these two teams as Littleton’s Lucas Bray hit an opposite field homerun to start off the game. White Mtns retaliated and scored a few runs in return, and Littleton tied the game up after 4 innings it was 2-2. Late in the game White Mtns brought in Griffin Crane in relief for Braxton Brown, and Griffin shut down the Littleton offense. After a few walks and a big double White Mtns scored 3 runs in the last inning to put them ahead going into the last inning where they would hold Littleton and win the game 6-2.

Littleton Softball also had a game against White Mtns Tuesday, May 1. The Littleton girls played a good game but had a tough time at the plate. White Mtns played very well as they are one of the best teams in the state. Littleton had a tough time stringing hits together and was no match for the speed of the White Mountains pitcher. The final score was 11-0 with Littleton losing but playing well through 7 innings.
