A long stretch of spring sports happened at LHS in the beginning of May. This will be a recap of everything that has happened in Littleton High School sports so far in the month of May. On Wednesday May 2, both Littleton Tennis teams had matches against White Mountains Regional. The Girls had their game rained out and so did the boys, so they ended up finishing the game later. They still both won, the Littleton Girls won 5-3 and the Littleton Boys won 7-0.

On Friday May 4, Littleton Softball and Baseball traveled all the way to Colebrook to play the Colebrook academy Mohawks. The Boys went with Lucas Bray to start pitching for the Crusaders, and he did well through the first few innings. It was kind of close after 3 innings but, the Littleton Boys came alive and drove in a few runs and beat Colebrook 13-3. The LHS Girls had a more challenging game, as they could not put up enough runs to compete with Colebrook’s offense. The Softball team ended up losing 13-1.

Littleton Tennis had a match Friday, May 4 against Profile High School. The Littleton Girls were going to try and beat Profile for the second time this year, but the LHS Boys Tennis team was looking to get their first win against Profile this year. The Littleton girls won 7-2, but the Littleton Boys lost 4-5. Both Littleton High School Tennis teams are doing quite well this year and are playing phenomenally.

Littleton Softball and Baseball had their second go at Woodsville High School Wednesday, May 9. The Lady Crusaders were looking to do some damage this time against Woodsville as they lost to Woodsville badly last time. Although Littleton was able to put up some runs they could not come up with the win. The final score was 8-17. The Littleton Boys had beaten Woodsville last time, but Woodsville has gotten better since then, and they were looking to come in and beat the Crusaders. The game was slow in the beginning but, picked up pace towards the end when the Crusaders put up two big innings and won 10-0 over the Woodsville Engineers.

Both Littleton Tennis teams had a match against Berlin Wednesday May 9. The Littleton Boys beat Berlin again 9-0 to pick themselves up after losing to Profile in their last match. The Littleton Girls had a bit tougher time to as they went back and forth with the Berlin Girls. The Lady Crusaders won 5-4 over Berlin, both teams competed hard, but the Littleton Girls got the best of them.

Boys Playoffs

Mar 13, 2018
The Littleton Crusader Boys wrapped up their season with a semifinal loss Monday, March 5th. The Boys came in with a lot of young talent. The team consists of a lot of players who will return next year. This was looking to be a tough year to begin with but, the Littleton boys made the very best of it.

Littleton had a tough playoff run ahead of them in the beginning. In the first round they were home in Littleton against Lisbon Tuesday February 27th for the third time this season. Lisbon is not a bad team by any means and this was going to be a good game to watch. Josh Woods played great with 26 points but, Danny Kubkowski outshined him with an even better game scoring 43 points in an 86-60-point Crusader win. The second game was another difficult game. The Littleton Boys were set to play Groveton for the third time this season as well. Friday March 2nd the Crusaders hosted Groveton in a rematch of last years Championship game. The Littleton Boys had the pressure on them, Groveton came to play and laid it all on the line. Again, Danny Kubkowski dropped 30+ points for the second game in a row, he finished with 33 points. Parker Briggs also played well as he scored 21 points aiding Littleton in the win. Final Score Littleton 71 Groveton 64.

For the semi final game Littleton traveled to play at Plymouth State against Pittsfield Monday, March 5. This was a tough matchup for Littleton as Pittsfield was one of the heavy favorites going into the tournament. Cam Darrah had a phenomenal game scoring 22 points; his shooting was on point and he was unstoppable with his moves into the paint. Littleton had a very hard time scoring in this game as most teams do in these high pressure semi final games. The season was over for the boys as they lost 62-42. Pittsfield went on and eventually won the championship so at the very least the Crusaders lost to the best team. It was an amazing season anyway as Littleton hopes to be back next year with a lot of the same players.
