Quality Inspector II 1st Shift - Laconia Area

Quality inspectors examine product and material for defects or deviations from specifications and report results. Perform product testing to verify compliance to pre-defined engineering and quality requirements utilizing various inspection tests and tools.

Interpret blueprints and specifications to inspect, test, and/or measure material or product being produced and/or received
Monitor standard operating procedures to ensure production standards are met
Use various measuring devices/equipment such as height gauges, hardness testers, spring testers, and profilometer to ensure that parts and components meet blueprint, specifications or other established requirements
Place on hold all product and material that fails to meet specifications
Communicate and interpret inspection results with those responsible for product/material
Record, report and interpret inspection and test data; completing Incoming Discrepant Report (IDR) or Material Reject Ticket (MRT) when necessary
Tests with XFR Gun to determine lead levels ensuring results are within a specific range
Perform daily Certified Inspections (CI) for ASME products
Assist production with any quality issues and provide necessary support when needed
Ability to adapt to changing requirements based on production needs
Must demonstrate flexibility based on changing department requirements (overtime, shift coverage, etc.)
Perform routine housekeeping to ensure area operates within parameters that conform to environmental and safety standards
Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and abide by safety rules
Must report any job related injury and/or illness immediately to your direct supervisor
Must maintain attendance and punctuality standards as established by company
Perform other duties as may be assigned.

High School Diploma or GED
2 – 4 years of related experience
Advanced blue print reading is required
Previous experience using QAD and MS Office.
Must be able to read, write and understand English

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds individually, 80 lbs. with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
