Maintenance Tech III

High school diploma or its equivalent required. Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field is required. 3-5 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields with extensive knowledge and experience maintaining CNC machine tools. A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes. Computer experience/operation and PLC programming required. Must be willing to work overtime as required.

Summary of Position:

Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs CNC machine tools and other electromechanical production equipment. Applies knowledge of electronics, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.

Specific Duties:

Troubleshoots and repairs CNC, PLC, servo and relay controlled production equipment. Will repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems. Plan and perform assorted maintenance functions.

Problem Solving/Decision Making: Requires the use of outstanding judgment to follow instructions and standard operating procedures

Physical Effort:

Must have ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work. Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.
Working environment: Work under limited supervision. The following safety equipment is needed to perform this position: steel toed shoes/boots, ear plugs, and safety glasses. Exposure to heat, dust, dirt, fumes, and noise.
